Significance of Akshaya Tritiya: 

The word "Akshaya" means "eternal" or "imperishable," and "Tritiya" means "the third day." The festival is believed to bring good luck, prosperity, and success to people's lives. It is considered an auspicious day to start new ventures, make investments, get married, and buy gold.

In North India, people celebrate Akshaya Tritiya as 'Parshuram Jayanti' to commemorate Lord Parshuram's birthday. In South India, people celebrate it as 'Akha Teej' and offer prayers to Goddess Gowri and Lord Shiva.
