5. Vivekananda received his primary education at home and then at the Metropolitan Institution in Calcutta. 

6. In 1881, he enrolled at Presidency College, also in Calcutta. 

7. Vivekananda became interested in yoga and Hinduism after meeting Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in 1881. 

8. After Ramakrishna's death in 1886, Vivekananda undertook a journey across India for several years, during which he lived as a wandering ascetic. 

9. He eventually settled in Darjeeling, where he founded the Ramakrishna Mission in 1897.
