Gandhi's early life was marked by hardship. He was born into a poor family and grew up working on the family farm. Gandhi's hard work and determination impressed his fellow villagers, and he eventually started campaigning for social reform.

Gandhi's campaign for peaceful resistance against British rule captured the hearts of many people around the world. His principles of Ahimsa (non-violence) and Satyagraha (civil disobedience) became model policies for liberation movements throughout the world.
